Welcome to the Leviathan Chronicles Blog! This blog will be your best source of getting up to the minute Leviathan news, behind-the-scenes peeks and learning what’s in store for Leviathan.  There is also another blog on the site called Christof’s Blog which will be focused more on me personally and my thoughts on podcasting, new media, travel, eating, drinking, and anything else that strikes my fancy.  You can Subscribe to each blog individually by clicking on the buttons in the upper left.

I thought it might be helpful to answer a few of the questions I’ve been getting recently.

What can I expect now that Season 1 is over?? The short answer is…lots.  As I explain below, there is a lot of fresh new content coming your shorty even as Season 2 gets its production underway.  I view the rollout of this website and completing the first Season as sort of a “rebirth” for Leviathan.  I’ve learned a lot over the past two years and have some pretty big plans in the works.

Here’s the gameplan. I realized in producing Season 1 that it’s not fair to make the awesome fans of Leviathan have to await a month or two between episode releases.  Therefore, I have made the decision (a tough one) that I will not release Season 2 (episodes 26-50) until all the episodes are completed.  Completing 25 episodes of Leviathan is major undertaking and will take some serious time.  My best sense now is that Season 2 will be ready to drop by first quarter of 2011.

Whoa! So I won’t get any new episodes of Leviathan until next year?  What gives? Slow down, cowboy!  You’ve got a ton of cool content coming your way until then.  Here’s what’s in store:

  1. Mini-Episodes: Along with the release of Chapter 25, I’ve dropped the first of many mini-episodes for you to enjoy.  These will be shorter (3-7 minutes) episodes that will be more narration based but will reveal some side stories and background history in Leviathan.  I plan to drop these roughly every two weeks.

  2. Special Edition Mega-Episodes: Before Season 2 drops, I intend to release 4-6 Special Edition Episodes which will be available for purchase on this website for $1.99 - $2.99 a piece.  This will be 1-2 hour (double length) full audio drama episodes like you’ve come to appreciate from Leviathan.  Each Special Edition Episode will be a stand alone storyline related to the mainstory but not essential to it.  If you don’t want to pay for any podcasts, that’s cool.  You don’t need any of the information within the Special Edition Episodes to continue to enjoy the free episodes of Leviathan.  But if you love Leviathan, and want to hear more of the awesome story, this is great way to get more premium audio drama and also help defray the costs of Season 2.

  3. Season 1 – The Director’s Cut:  Before the end of 2010, I plan to release a “re-mastered” version of Season 1 with about 2 hours of additional content.  I’ll also be cleaning up some of the music, re-recording certain performances, and cleaning up certain storyline details.  As you get ready for the release of Season 2, buying this Director’s Cut is a great way to refresh you’re memory by listening the entire Leviathan saga the way I wish I could have recorded it the first time (sigh, if I knew then…).  Again, purchasing the Director’s Cut is a terrific way to help pay for the production of Season 2 (actor’s fees, sound studio time, musician fees, equipment, etc…).

So this is the grand plan.  I hope you guys are as excited as I am about this next step in The Leviathan Chronicles.  Please feel free to comment here or email me any questions you might have at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
