2012 starts with a bang!  The Leviathan Chronicles is proud to release TWO brand new Special Edition Episodes

The Rogue Plague is the long-awaited origin story of Harlequinn’s immortality.  Set in 1556 in Scotland, listen the story about Harlequinn meeting Evangeline centuries ago and beginning a love affair that would change his life forever.  Bennu is desperately jealous and begins scheming to destroy their relationship as we learn more about his past and disfigurement.  But their romance is interrupted by an ancient evil from Evangeline’s past that threatens not just members of Leviathan, but the entire countryside of Scotland.  And Harlequinn is caught in a desperate choice between his faith and the woman he loves.

The Ward is a high tech thriller that takes place in Paris seventeen years ago.  Harlequinn aims to steal a religious relic from his past, but is thwarted by a new security system unlike any other he has encountered.  To take back what is his, Harlequinn recruits a young girl from a treacherous orphanage to become his partner-in-crime.  As their relationship develops, the tentacles of Leviathan reach out to disrupt his partnership and use the young girl as leverage to control Harlequinn.  Soon, Harlequinn and his young ward will have to decide how deep their loyalty to each other will go.

Not to be redundant but welcome to the new Leviathan Chronicles Website.  A lot of you that follow Leviathan on Facebook know that this new site has been in the works for a long time (more than 6 months) and really signifies a new age for Leviathan as we wind down Season 1.  This new site was pretty much designed from scratch to be much more user-friendly for both you AND me, but still retain some of the best visual elements from the old site.

In the design process, I really wanted to make the site a regular destination for more fans and also create better vehicle for me to communicate more often with all of you.  Believe it or not, I often found that I had news or thoughts I wanted to share but I didn’t have a great place on the site to post it.  Now there are two blogs on the site, and host of other cool features.  Let me walk you though some of the highlights.

I thought it might be helpful to answer a few of the questions I’ve been getting recently.

Ungh.  It’s about 10:00 pm and I just got back from Silver Sound Studios finishing the final edits on the Season Finale.  I was there for about 6 hours today as we’ve been pushing hard to get the episode ready for drop in little more than 24 hours. As many of you guys know by now, the episode has a run time of about an hour and forty minutes.  Now imagine stopping about once a minute for edits (this is our third draft – first drafts I usually stop once every 15 seconds) and you can see how just a simple “listen-through” can become a major time suck.

Audiodrama is different.  Podcasting will always be podcasting but audiodrama is just…a different animal.  It seems to draw upon so many more skills than simply writing.  We have to be managers, actors, motivators, financially savvy, publicity agents, musicians, computer technicians and a host of other skills just to create the simple soundscape we use tell a story (really not so simple, I guess).  For sure, podcasters, especially successful ones, wear multiple hats as well.  But this weekend was a huge push to release more content than we ever have before.  It was incredibly rewarding not just to finish, but to see all that we learned in the process.
