Week 4 Update:

It’s hard to believe we’ve been in Austin for a full month! The experience of the entire team (except for Nobi) living together and working on The Leviathan Chronicles full time has proven to be invaluable and extemely productive. Progress continues to be a bit slower than we’d like, but we’ve reached some important milestones this week. The final version of Special Edition #5: Snipe has been completed and will be released a week from tomorrow. Snipe is the origin story of the virus that is crippling Leviathan and threatens the immortals’ existence in Season 2. We will be dropping a 20-minute preview next Monday, in addition to having the full episode for sale at Backmybook.com.

Speaking of Season 2, we are chipping away at getting all 25 episodes finished. We have entered post-production on Chapter 42, and have finalized all episodes through Chapter 35. Certain chapters tend to take longer than others, as some tend to be more character focused, while others are driven by large set pieces featuring heavy special effects and epic music scores.

The highlights of the week include Luke designing some amazing insect sounds and Robin finding a way to make underwater environments sound more dynamic and less like sticking your head in a fish tank. Special kudos go out to Karen Hayman, who plays an immortal tracker in Season 2, and had us on the edge of our seats with her performance.

With Snipe now completed, we’ll be able to give all of our focus to Season 2 during our last week while in Austin. We’ll be posting more info as we get closer to our departure and have to sadly head back to NYC. Thank you all again for the support, and we can’t to get Season 2 in your headphones as soon as possible as well as drop some really cool mini-episodes. You all rock.

An epic podcast with a brilliant plot, great narration and an amazing cast! An audio drama (rather than a "mere" audio book) indeed. Thank you, Christof, and the entire LC team and cast for all the work you have done to provide your listeners with so much high-class entertainment!...
