Week 5 Update:

In our last week here in Austin, we are pushing hard to get as much done as possible while the team is still together under one roof (except for Nobi, sadly). While we were originally scheduled to begin the drive back to NYC tomorrow, we extended our Austin retreat to Thursday to continue our momentum with production.

The big news is that Special Edition #5: Snipe is finished and will go up for sale on Sunday! We’ll be posting a trailer as well as the first scene from Snipe into the podcast feed tomorrow. Co-written with podcast legend Mur Lafferty, Snipe is the origin story of the computer virus infecting Leviathan City and the two Darkwater agents sent to steal it.

Progress on Season 2 has been continuing and we now have episodes through 36 finished and post-production is underway through episode 44. We expect to make much better progress during our last week now that Snipe is completed. Our later episodes (Chapter 35 thereafter) are also much more “finished” than previous episodes due to some improvements in our post-production process so we hope to have a lot more final episodes in the can before we leave.

Special kudos go out this week to new cast member Dagmar Bittner from Germany who stepped in to provide some really great work for an upcoming Mini-Episode with Harlequinn. Also, I have to say how much I’ve loved listening to Karen Hayman, another new cast member / character in Season 2, who is giving us such a nuanced, complex performance as a powerful member of The Rebellion.

Thank you all for your support and patience. We are jamming to get Season 2 into your headphones as soon as possible, and I really hope you all enjoy Snipe tomorrow!

An epic podcast with a brilliant plot, great narration and an amazing cast! An audio drama (rather than a "mere" audio book) indeed. Thank you, Christof, and the entire LC team and cast for all the work you have done to provide your listeners with so much high-class entertainment!...
